Keep Track of Your Health

There is nothing more precious than your health. Wealth can be lost and regained, possessions come and go, but to enjoy your life, to enjoy living, optimal health is key.

Being exhausted at the end of the day is not an indicator that you’ve exercised enough. Feeling hungry all the time is not an indicator that you aren’t eating enough. Mood swings could be hormonal, or it could be from lack of (or terrible) sleep. So, how are you supposed to know what your body is trying to tell you?

With a fitness and health tracker. This isn’t like a New Year’s resolution to eat better and lose weight only for you to quit the gym two weeks in and go on a pizza binge.

In fact, no one is asking (or telling) you to change a thing. No one should make a decision about what to do with their health– or anything else– without having enough information first. That’s what the health tracker is for, to give you the information you need to make appropriate decisions for your health.

With so many on the market, it can be difficult to determine which is right for you. That’s where we come in. We’ve done the digging for you to find the best trackers on the market and what makes them great.

Bellabeat Leaf Nature in Rose Gold

Alternate Styles:

Chakra Gray / Silver

Chakra Black / Rose Gold

Bellabeat claims their Leaf health tracker helps you create the perfect mind-body balance. To do this, it tracks your activity, sleep, and reproductive health, then uses the collected data and a unique algorithm to calculate your stress resistance.

The Leaf Chakra series features healing crystals that Bellabeat says can be charged with nature’s positive energy, which is then transferred to the wearer.

Unlike other trackers, this one doesn’t have to be worn like a watch, instead, it can be worn as a necklace or clipped onto your shirt.

As is evident in the design, there is no screen on the tracker to read. All data is aggregated and viewed on the app, which works on both Android and iOS. The tracker can be re-synched to a new device at any time through the app as well.

There are no USB ports or plugs on this tracker either. That means… no charging it! Instead, it uses a coin cell battery that lasts for approximately six (6) months before it needs to be changed out. This allows you to wear the tracker and monitor your health 24 hours a day.

Fitbit Versa 2 Health and Fitness Smartwatch

This is the priciest tracker on the list, ranging from $200- $230 (depending on which style you opt for). What it lacks in affordability, it makes up for in features.

The display can be set to look like a watch– the kind with a minute and hour hand– or you can view a synopsis screen displaying the time, date, steps counted, heart rate and calories burned. The device also measures distance, hourly activity, active minutes and floors climbed.

The Fitbit Versa 2 is comes with Alexa built into it, so you can set alarms, check the weather, get news, and control your other smart phone devices through it. Want to listen to music? Just access your Spotify app or download Pandora stations to your Fitbit and viola! Or you can store 300+ songs on it to access at your leisure.

It will sync with devices within a 6.1 meter range. When your phone is near, you’ll receive call, text, calendar and smartphone app notifications. Android users are able to send quick replies as well.

Because it tracks your heart rate, time asleep (and how long you spend in light, deep and REM sleep), restlessness, it issues you a sleep score for each night that rates your sleep quality.

Depending on the settings you opt for, the Fitbit Versa 2 will operate around the clock for six (6) plus days before it needs charging.

Why we like it:

It’s a versatile device that provides all the customary health tracking and gives smart-device loving users the power to access their favorite tech from one convenient place.

Who is this ideal for?

People who love “smart” technology, whose lives are woven into the Internet and frequently access it to manage their daily business.

It is NOT for those who value their privacy (as you need to have and grant device access to many app accounts to use various features) or do not like high-tech, multi-setting devices.

Is there a best tracker?

The three health trackers listed above have great reviews and people appear pleased with what they get for the price. And while you can’t put a price on good health, you can quantify it with a health tracker.

Is there a “best” health tracker? Maybe not, but there will certainly be a best health tracker for you. Happy tracking!
